How Solar Works

1) SOLAR PANELS

Solar panels on your home collect energy from the sun.

2) POWER INVERTER

The energy produced is direct current (DC) electricity which is converted to alternating current (AC) by the inverter.

3) ELECTRICAL PANEL

The AC power flows from the inverter to the electric panel to be distributed to your home’s lights and other electric appliances.

4) ENERGY METER

When your solar system generates more electricity than you use, excess power flows to the grid to be credited to your account.

5) UTILITY GRID

Utilities credit you for the exported power, but also provide backup when cloudy.

6) MONITORING SYSTEM

Our online tools monitor the system remotely and alert us to potential problems.
